**Your new role awaits**:
The position of Yardperson at **Coates Brooklyn Branch** is a key support role responsible for the daily operations of the Branch yard area and ensuring the safe loading and unloading of equipment. You will also perform basic and minor repairs on furniture/ electrical accessories.

As well as providing a high level of customer service, you will need to:

- Clean and maintain furniture and electrical accessories for hire
- Load and unload furniture and electrical accessories using safe loading & unloading procedures
- Spot trucks for inbound/ outbound deliveries
- Perform general yard duties, including cleaning of facilities to ensure a safe and organised yard
- Load and unload portable buildings (as required)
- Promote a Safety First - Zero Harm safety culture - _talk about safety to your colleagues and customers_

**About you**:
As well as having experience in a similar role, ideally you will have the following:

- A current forklift & driver’s license
- A strong knowledge of and commitment to safety
- Adequate technology skills - _you will be using mobile technology to sign in/ out and check quality of furniture and electrical accessories_
- Ability to work in a team and autonomously
- A ‘can-do’ approach to completing tasks and taking direction
