**Achievement Support Services** is on the lookout for a calm, kind, and switched-on **Support Worker** to join our crew in Launceston. If you’re reliable, values-driven, and genuinely enjoy supporting people to live their best lives — we’d love to meet you.

This isn’t just a “pop in and do the dishes” kind of role. It’s meaningful, ongoing work with someone who’ll benefit from having a steady, confident, and respectful person in their space.

About the role:
You’ll be working closely with one of our long-term clients who lives independently and needs structured, consistent support across their week. This is a solo role — you’ll be the main point of support, so **clear boundaries, a grounded presence, and a gentle approach are key.**

**Shifts are steady and simple**:

- Mornings: 9:30am - 2:30pm
- Evenings: 6:00pm - 9:00pm
- Public holidays: 9:30am-11:30am and 6:00pm-8:00pm

We’re offering **a minimum of 10 hours per week**, with potential to pick up more over time. This job slots in beautifully alongside other work, family life, or study.

What’s involved:

- Supporting daily routines (think meals, reminders, medication prompts, light cleaning)
- Encouraging independence while respecting the client's pace and preferences
- Providing emotional support and a calm, consistent presence
- Maintaining clear communication with our team
- Occasionally responding to challenging behaviours with patience and confidence

You don’t need formal therapeutic qualifications — but if you’ve got experience with **trauma-informed care**, **behavioural support**, or just know how to hold your ground with warmth and respect, we consider that a huge bonus.

You’ll need:

- Working with Vulnerable People Check (TAS)
- National Police Check (within 12 months)
- Medical endorsement (or willingness to obtain)
- Driver’s licence and reliable vehicle
- Strong communication, emotional maturity, and a sense of humour
