- Permanent, full-time position.
- Remuneration package of $2,391.68 gross per fortnight with the opportunity to progress to $2,870.02 gross per fortnight plus superannuation (11.5%).

**This position will be responsible for**:

- Undertake zookeeper duties including care of animals, feeding and watering animals, health checks, clean and maintain yards, conduct guided tours, and maintain registers e.g., animal, chemical and spraying etc.
- Work closely with the Zoo Curator to provide quality animal handling and enrichment activities.
- Work collaboratively with fellow team members to coordinate the activities of Council’s Zoo and ensure legislative compliance.

**As the successful applicant, you will**:

- Hold a Certificate III in Captive Animals or equivalent role specific qualifications.
- Hold a current Class C Driver’s Licence.
- Hold a General Construction Induction Training Certificate (White Card)
- Have a compassionate nature, excel as a team player, maintain physical fitness, and demonstrate excellent communication and time management skills.
- In accordance with Work Health and Safety legislation, the successful applicant is required to be vaccinated for Q-Fever and will be asked to provide evidence of this._
