**About the Role**

We are seeking a compassionate, reliable, and experienced **Support Worker** to join our team. The successful applicant will be providing **2:1 support** to participants living in a **Supported Independent Living (SIL)** environment. The role involves assisting individuals to achieve their goals, maintain their independence, and participate in community activities, while ensuring their safety, dignity, and wellbeing at all times.

**Key Responsibilities**
- Provide **personal care** (assistance with hygiene, grooming, dressing, toileting, and mobility).
- Support participants with **daily living tasks**, including meal preparation, household duties, and medication prompts (as required).
- Facilitate **community access** — supporting participants to engage in social, recreational, and community-based activities.
- Work collaboratively as part of a **2:1 support team**, following individual care plans and behaviour support strategies.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date documentation and incident reports.
- Promote a safe, respectful, and inclusive environment for all participants.
- Communicate effectively with participants, their families, and the support team.

**Qualifications & Experience**

**Essential**:

- Minimum **1-2 years of experience** in a similar support role (preferably within SIL settings).
- Current **First Aid & CPR Certificate**.
- Current **Working with Children Check** (WWCC) and **NDIS Worker Screening Check**.
- Valid **Driver’s Licence** and reliable vehicle (if required for community access).
- Up-to-date **NDIS Worker Orientation Module** completion.
- Valid **Police Check**

**Desirable**:

- Experience supporting participants with complex needs or behaviours of concern.
- Manual handling and medication administration training.
