**Job Title**: Sales Assistant (Fixed-Term Part-Time)

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable Sales Assistant to join our team for the busy summer period.

**Position Overview**:
This is a fantastic opportunity for a dynamic individual to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced retail environment. As a key member of our team over the summer, you will be responsible for delivering outstanding customer service, processing transactions, and ensuring the store operates smoothly and efficiently. This is a fixed-term role ideal for someone available for a short-term commitment from December 2025 through the end of January 2026. **A minimum of 20 hours per week will be guaranteed for the duration of the contract.**

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Greet and assist customers in a friendly and professional manner.
- Operate the point-of-sale (POS) system to handle cash, credit, and debit transactions accurately.
- Answer customer inquiries and provide informed recommendations on our product range.
- Assist with stocking shelves, maintaining inventory levels, and receiving deliveries.
- Ensure the store remains clean, organised, and visually appealing.
- Verify customer identification to ensure legal compliance for all alcohol sales.
- Collaborate with the team to maintain high operational standards during the peak season.

**Qualifications & Experience**:

- **Must possess a current and valid Responsible Service of Alcohol (RSA) certificate.**:

- Previous experience in retail, hospitality, or customer service is highly regarded.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Strong numerical skills with the ability to handle transactions efficiently.
- A keen interest in or basic knowledge of alcoholic beverages is an advantage.
- Highly reliable, punctual, and able to commit to the full 2-month contract.
- Availability to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and public holidays over the summer period.
- Must be at least 18 years of age.
