The Deputy Registrar of Probates is responsible for providing legal direction and technical guidance to the legal profession, Probate and Registry staff, trustee companies, self represented applicants and members of the public without supervision. They manage the case workflow of the Probate Registry by exercising the powers and authority of the Registrar of Probates and provide leadership, supervision and support to the Assistant Legal Officer/Associate Deputy Registrar of Probates, the Probate Registry Services Coordinator and other Registry staff.
**Requirements**:
The successful applicant must have the following:
- Bachelor of Laws Degree and be admitted to practice in the Supreme Court.
- Current and unrestricted practising certificate.
- Considerable post-admission experience.
**Special Conditions**:
- This is a long term part-time contract, equivalent to 22.5 hours per week.
- Appointment is under the _Courts Administration Act 1993_. Terms and Conditions of employment are governed by the _Public Sector Act 2009_.
- Appointment is dependent upon a current National Police Certificate that the CAA finds satisfactory.
- As a justice agency, the CAA may receive details of spent convictions as part of any Criminal History Screening and use this information in the selection process.
- Appointees may be directed to disclose their COVID-19 vaccination status.
**Remuneration**:
LE4 ($118, 529 to $129,582 per annum), adjusted to hours worked.
