**About the role**:
Reporting to the Director, Division Medicine, Cardiac & Critical Care Services, some of your duties will include:

- Conducting inpatient/or procedural consultations of patients including assessing, analysing, diagnosing, managing, treating, educating and supporting patients presenting to them.
- Progression toward attainment of further echocardiography related education and qualifications
- Assisting with research activities as specified by the Unit Head or Director, Division of Medicine, Cardiac and Critical Care Services by conducting research and collaborating with other units within the hospital and other Critical Care units.
- Quality transthoracic and transoesophageal image acquisition and teaching

**About you**:

- Performing and interpreting echocardiography in the critical care environment
- Awareness of person and family centred care principles and consumer engagement principles and procedures.
- Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) or equivalent
- Transthoracic echocardiography image acquisition skills

As per the SMOEA 2022, the total term of employment with SA Health will be 3 years. Rotations following the initial 12-month allocation as Advanced Trainee will be determined in line with your training and SA Health’s requirements. This may include transfer to other SA Health locations to perform work appropriate to classification, skills, and capabilities.
