**Administration** **Brisbane** **Part Time** **Icon Cancer Centre Australia** **Medical Typist - Icon Group** Join our Health Information Management team as a Medical Typist for our network of Oncologists / Haematologists - Work From Home / Remote - Choose between 3, 4 or 5 days per week (PT or FT) - Permanent Role **The opportunity** *** We have a new opportunity for a **permanent part-time or full-time Medical Typist** to join our medical typing team. The overall purpose of this position is to provide exceptional medical typing support to a group of our busy Medical Oncology and Haematology Visiting Medical Officers from various Icon locations across Australia. We are open to consider someone looking to work between 48 - 76 hours per fortnight. Work hours will be rostered between 8am - 6pm (QLD time), with some flexibility to the days, however, you will be required to work on Fridays. **This role is 100% remote, so you can be based anywhere in Australia** Our team makes us who we are, they shape our impact and drive our success. And at Icon, you will be a true champion of our patients care by: - Accurate typing of urgent and routine medical correspondence, including letters and reports - Liaising with VMOs and secretaries to ensure timely review, correction, approval, and release of medical correspondence to intended recipients - Sharing responsibility for the management of telephone requests from VMOs and other staff - Preparing after-hours and on-call doctors lists - Using IT systems, and undertaking training in the use of new technology - Communicating effectively and professionally with team members, internal and external customers at all times **About you** - Competent Medical Typist (minimum 70 wpm & >95% accuracy) with a minimum of 3 years in a medical typing role - Previous experience transcribing audio files - Ability to work effectively and efficiently without close supervision - Attention to detail - Exceptional verbal and written communication skills - Professional, efficient, and friendly manner, both over-the-phone and face-to-face - Willingness to put your hand up and support your team - Proficient in the use of computer hardware, Windows based and medical practice software packages **Are we right for you?** Our team makes us who we are, they shape our impact and drive our success.
