**Job Summary**:
Martinus are seeking a Boilermaker to join our Plant team **on a 6 month contract**, based from Rocklea, Brisbane.

Our Boilermaker builds, installs, maintains, and repairs steel and metal structures.

**Tasks and Responsibilities**:

- Read blueprints/plans for the specifications of the job, including position and dimensions of the parts to be assembled or repaired
- Install, maintain and repair steel and metal structures
- Cut, mould and weld metal/steel to fix faults, and weld and bolt parts of the structure together
- Competence in arc, MIG and TIG welding
- Use hand tools, flame torches and other machinery to shape, cut and weld sections of metal
- Identify problems and solve them in a timely manner
- Responsible for upholding the Martinus Rail principles and company culture.
- Focus on Martinus Rail’s commitment to achieve ‘target zero’, being no injuries or illnesses to people or incidents that adversely affect the environment.
- Complete required tasks day-to-day relevant to scope of works.
- Participate in site management of health, safety, quality, and environment management.
- Take part in risk management processes, identify, and mitigate risks prior to works commencing.
- Actively seek to increase efficiency and effectiveness of all Martinus Rail systems and processes, relevant to the specific job and the overall organisation.
- Onsite face to face participation of toolbox talks, pre-start, and other inductions.

**Qualifications required**:
Certificate III/IV in Engineering - Fabrication Trade or equivalent apprenticeship
