Assistant Store Manager

We’re looking for a full-time **Assistant Store Manager** for our **Joondalup** **Paint Trade Centre, who has experience with service excellence and a ‘can-do’ attitude.

Reporting to the Store Manager, this position would suit an experienced Sales Assistant looking for their next step, or a current Assistant Store Manager.

Guided by your Store Manager, you will work with other Store Managers and the Trade team to implement and maintain sales growth within our company-owned stores and continue to work toward service excellence within the paint industry.

**Responsibilities**
- Demonstrate exceptional customer service, accountability, ownership, teamwork, promoting engagement and offering solutions.
- Assisting the Store Manager to maintain the team's knowledge, and behaviours to provide a successful store culture.
- Tinting and mixing paint, palletising paint drums, arranging orders for delivery and colour matching.
- Deliveries using the Store vehicle.
- Inventory, ordering, stock replenishment.
- Assisting to grow store revenue and targets and hitting Indicators.
- Maximising the sales approach to focus on the features and benefits of PPG products.
- Assisting to implement marketing and promotional plans to maximise sales potential.
- Maintain and continue development of customer relationships. Offering advice/solutions to customers, both trade and retail.
- Operate point of sale system and prepare sales invoices following company policy.
- Increase sales using the 4x3 Selling Application System - Preparing, Prime and Seal, Finishing.
- Assist to achieve and follow Store standards, including EHS, training and housekeeping.
- Uphold and maintain the highest levels of safety for all team, customers, and contractors.

**Training**
- Attend PPG state-based training - trade product, 4x3 Customer Service Protocol and Selling Application System.
- Undertake sales techniques, store presentations, customer service, and ethics training.

**Requirements**:

- Minimum 1 to 2 years of experience as an Assistant Store Manager or Retail Sales with a customer focus.
- Ability to lift and handle up to 32 kgs.
- Paint industry experience is not mandatory - training is provided.
- Visual Merchandising experience preferred, not essential.
- Availability from Monday - Friday between 6.30 am - 4.30 pm for a 38-hour work week. Saturday work may be required occasionally.
