Government client seeks an experienced Website Content Officer to be responsible for re-structuring, re-writing, editing and publishing website content for a website redevelopment project.

**About the role**

Government client seeks an experienced Website Content Officer to join them on a short-term assignment for a duration of up to a period of 5-months based in Adelaide CBD with an immediate start.

As the Website Content Officer, you will be responsible for re-structuring, re-writing, editing and publishing website content for a website redevelopment project.

You will establish sound and effective working relationships within and across government and non-government bodies, and work with other key stakeholders to achieve outcomes to meet communications, stakeholder engagement and project milestones.

**Key responsibilities**

Reporting to the Manager, Communications your key tasks and responsibilities will include:

- producing compelling content and storytelling across a range of channels including publications, internal resources, digital communications and social media.
- writing, editing, and proofing written communication including web content, in consultation with various stakeholders including business experts and specialists.
- maintaining quality control of online content to ensure consistency, clarity, effectiveness and compliance with corporate, whole of government & web standards and principles best practice.
- using communications to support the effective engagement of internal and external stakeholders in the planning and implementation of a website redevelopment project.

**Experience and Skills**

The skills and experience you will need to demonstrate include:

- Demonstrated experience in a website redevelopment project within government organisations
- Experience updating and optimising web page and PDF metadata for search.
- Experience re-writing / editing and re-structuring website content.
- Experience in writing for the web and publishing content using Content Management Systems - preferably Squiz Matrix CMS experience.
- Knowledge of UX and IA principles would be highly regarded.
- Knowledge of WCAG principles and how to create accessible website content.
