About the Position
Reporting to the Governance and Board Secretary, this position will be required to provide expert support and coordination to the Governance and Board Secretary, Executive and Board function here at AV. With a focus on delivering critical and confidential support to the Board and Sub-Committees, this position will be required to
- Provide administrative, professional advisory and governance services for critical and confidential support for the Board and Sub-committees.
- Determine priorities and ensure actions are administrated and coordinated to allow for accurate, clear and succinct board information and forward planning.
- Prepare and/or review correspondence, meeting papers, briefing notes, minutes/actions, presentations, and other detailed and complex documents.
- Manage annual processes and monitor operational, financial, risk management, people and broader government requirements to ensure Board and Sub-Committee compliance to protocols and policy, organisational objectives, budget and designated timeframes.

About you
Suited to an individual with a high level of professionalism and confidentiality, the successful applicant will possess
- Significant experience in providing high/executive level administrative support in a large and complex organisation or government executives and highly developed collaboration and organisational skills.
- Demonstrated understanding of Board and Board Committee responsibilities, corporate governance concept, administration and policy.
- Demonstrated experience working in high volume and demanding work environments with urgent timelines.
- Strong attention to detail and judgement to ensure confidential matters are handled appropriately, including maturity to deal diplomatically with matters of a sensitive nature.
- High level communication and engagement skills, with the ability to build and maintain relationships across all levels

Successful applicants will need to have received the mandated COVID-19 vaccinations and be willing to complete pre-employment screening including a Police Check. This role may also require the successful applicant to hold a current Working with Children Check.
This position is graded at AV5. The AV grade salary range for an AV5 position is $124,681 to $134,776 plus 10.5% superannuation. The expectation is that employees will commence at the base of the grade applicable to a position.
