**Your Role at Nextt**:
At Nextt, our disability support workers play a pivotal role in organising and executing daily activities for our clients, which includes providing personal care, assistance with domestic tasks, and facilitating community access.

We currently have a vacancy in the **Corio** Region of Geelong for a **Female** Casual Disability Support Worker.

**About the role**
This role is working with our female client who is seeking FEMALE staff to support her to be more independent.

This participant recently moved to Australia with her family, she speaks limited English but is interested in becoming more confident with English.

This participant is vision impaired, so requires emotional support when out in the community, plus supervision support to ensure that she isn't walking on uneven ground or is about to walk into obstacles.

We want staff to assist this participant in getting out to go shopping, go to appointments and sometimes driving the participant and her family over to Dandenong to visit extended family.

**Shifts**
Shifts are flexible

These shifts will be ADHOC, but likely to be 6 -10 hour shifts.

The shifts will sometimes include catching the train into Melbourne to attend appointments as scheduled.

**Your Skills and Experience**:

- SWs experienced in mobility support
- Can speak English as well as any of the following languages: Farsi, Hindi or Urdu
- Strong communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with peers and management staff

**Your Certificates and Licences**:

- NDIS Workers Screening Check
- must be current
- Working with CHildrens Check - must be current
- First Aid and CPR Certificate - must be current
- NDIS Certificate - Quality, Safety and you
- Australian Driver's License and access to a fully insured vehicle (comprehensive insurance only, third party will not be accepted)

All employees will be required to comply with mandatory directives as mandated within the relevant state or territory where they work.
