Eden Ritchie is seeking a Principal Policy Officer to manage and lead projects to ensure successful development and timely delivery of the department’s strategic legislative and policy initiatives, including the preparation of associated supporting policy and technical documents.

**As the Principal Policy Officer, your key responsibilities will include**:

- Interpret and analyse legislation and review policy proposals (including Cabinet submissions) and provide high quality and timely written and/or verbal advice regarding any implications for Sport and Recreation business
- Establish and maintain effective relationships with officers in other government departments to achieve efficient whole of government policy development
- Undertake research and prepare and review Ministerial and other correspondence, reports, briefings, Cabinet Submissions and Executive Council documents. Represent Sport and Recreation in a professional manner, and provide expert technical advice in dealings with internal and external clients
- As a member of the Sport and Recreation team you will lead by example in ensuring you demonstrate the agreed to principles of honesty, trust, accountability, transparency and inclusiveness
