We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Support Worker to provide individualized care for an 11-year-old boy with autism. The role encompasses support both within the family home and community settings, aimed at fostering an environment conducive to the child's growth and development.

**Responsibilities**:
Assist with daily routines, adapting activities to the child’s developmental level. Safely facilitate and supervise community outings, enhancing the child’s social and environmental interactions. Collaborate with the family and other professionals to implement effective support and developmental strategies.

**Requirements**:
1. Valid driver’s license

2. and access to a reliable vehicle.

3. Current Yellow Card, Blue Card, and Police Check.

4. Proven experience in working with children with autism, demonstrating an understanding of the challenges and needs specific to this age group.

5. Flexibility in scheduling and readiness to start immediately.

6. No gender preference for applicants.
- Must have valid working rights in Australia.

**Qualifications**:

- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to effectively interact with an 11-year-old.
- Previous experience in support work or similar roles is a must.

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $35.00 per hour

Expected hours: 35 per week

Schedule:

- Day shift
- Morning shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Kingston, QLD: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- First Aid Certification (preferred)
- Working with Children Check (preferred)
- NDIS Worker Screening Check (preferred)
- National Police Certificate (preferred)
- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)

Work Location: In person
