Job Overview
Reporting to the National EHS Manager you will work within the National Safety management framework. You are empowered to drive continuous EHS improvement and develop and execute strategic, globally aligned EHS plans with your stakeholders. You will work closely with the Moss Vale Operations Manager and the site management team, developing strong working relationships with all stakeholders is critical to safety improvement.
This is a hands-on face to face role. You will be required to invest significant time with worksite tradespeople, site managers, supervisors, leading hands, and contractors, supporting, influencing, and coaching them in meeting and exceeding their EHS duties.
Key Job Responsibilities
Work with site managers to ensure the execution of and compliance to all policy, procedures, legislation, regulations, codes of practice and Australian standards.
Analyse site data to identify emerging issues and propose control solutions.
Develop and implement an annual site EHS continuous improvement plan that is aligned with the National EHS strategy.
Work closely with the National EHS Manager and the Operations Manager in implementing key strategic initiatives.
Maintain the site risk register and ensure controls are relevant and utilised to ensure all hazards are mitigated to as low as reasonably practicable.
Develop EHS training schedule to ensure all workers high risk licensing, first aid and other associated training is completed and maintained for currency.
Investigate all incidents using the ICAM methodology and develop preventative action plans.
Develop and distribute EHS communications and prepare content for monthly meetings.
Provide direction, information, instruction and solutions in the event of EHS non-conformance.
Support the management of all Workers Compensation claims and rehabilitation plans / programs.
Conduct EHS compliance audits with site representatives and issue corrective actions.
Facilitate Risk Assessments and assist in preparation and review of Job Safety Analysis in conjunction with site management team.
Undertake site inductions for employees, visitors and contractors as required.

Qualifications/Requirements
Previous management experience in an EHS role
Preference is for post grad qualification in WHS/EHS, however Diploma with appropriate work history and experience may be considered.
Certificate IV Workplace Assessment & Training (desirable)
Rehabilitation and Return to Work Coordinator
Incident Investigation qualification - ICAM with strong Root Cause Analysis is preferred.
Risk management qualifications.
