**The opportunity**

We are currently recruiting for an experienced EHS Specialist to join the Helicopter Aircrew Training Systems (HATS) contract which is expanding to include a new location at Oakey. This role would suit an enthusiastic EHS professional who is able to implement and establish safe working systems in a new workplace while fostering the development of a strong safety culture.

**Responsibilities**
- Supporting internal customers and the HATS Program on Environmental and Health & Safety processes, issues and regulatory compliance.
- Performing inspection and audits, investigating incidents and providing advice regarding corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence of incidents.
- Coordinating the development and maintenance of EHSMP's in accordance with company requirements and international Environmental and Health & Safety standards.
- Helping to establish a culture that is aligned with EHS objectives, with continuous EHS improvements.

**To be successful you will have**:

- 5 or more years' related work experience.
- Tertiary qualifications in Environment, Health & Safety or a related discipline.
- Extensive knowledge of relevant Environmental and Health & Safety legislation and regulations.
- Energy, passion, problem solving ability with can-do attitude.
- Ability to work as part of a team and autonomously.
- A focus on generative safety and continuous improvement.

Applicants must be Australian Citizens to meet Defence security requirements. A minimum of Baseline Security Clearance will be required, with the ability to obtain an NV1 Security Clearance.
