**About the role**

The Production Manager is responsible for the execution maintenance of activities in a safe manner by planning, managing and controlling the personnel and materials on the facility to ensure production activities to achieve timely performance, compliance with customer requirements, contractual obligation and maximum efficiency.

**Responsibilities include but are not limited to**:

- Prepare and update the project risk register;
- Prepare weekly progress reports and present weekly project dashboard;
- Attend site meetings with senior management to discuss progress of project, HSE compliance and other project issues;
- Attend progress meetings, safety meetings and contractor meetings providing advice and direction as required;
- Ensure all production work is carried out to the approved drawings and specifications and that correct work practices are engaged at all times; and
- Review project master schedule to optimise manning levels and timely completion of contract works.

**About you**
- Degree or Diploma in Engineering or Trade background and experience to equivalent;
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills;
- Demonstrated experience in maintaining delivery to high technical and quality standards;
- Project Management Systems experience;
- Proven background building and retaining a highly energised team;
- Current Motor Vehicle Driver’s Licence;
- Must either hold, or be eligible to obtain an Australian Defence Security Clearance to Negative Vetting-1 level;
- Construction Induction Card (White Card);
- Minimum 10 years of experience in a large marine engineering or construction project environment (Desired);
- Contract Administration experience (Desired);
- Demonstrated ability to motivate and maintain morale of subordinates (Desired); and
- Wide range of experience, knowledge and networking in the Defence Industry (Desired).
