We're looking for dynamic Technical Trainers to join our Payroll Services team at The Department of Treasury & Finance. In this pivotal role, you'll transform how our people learn, grow, and excel. **Remuneration**: ASO5 - Salary Range ($85,790 - 95,413 p.a.).

**About the opportunity**:
The Technical Trainer is responsible for providing expert training, coaching and mentoring to upskill staff within Payroll Services to ensure the delivery of a professional, accurate and timely payroll service to South Australian government agencies and their employees.
- Design, deliver and evaluate comprehensive training programs for payroll services staff
- Monitor training effectiveness and report on progress
- Maintain expertise in complex payroll and HR systems, processes and legislative requirements
- Support change management initiatives including modernisation projects and legislative updates
- Located in Adelaide CBD

**About you**:

- A proven track record in the design and delivery of engaging training sessions in classroom, on-the-job, and online settings.
- A person-forward approach to coaching and mentoring team members to build their development.
- A strong customer service ethos and ability to convey complex technical information both verbally and in writing, in a manner that is clear and relatable.
- An aptitude for adaptability in a fluid environment with frequently changing priorities while maintaining a commitment to continuous improvement.

**Desirable Expertise**:

- Relevant qualification in Training and Assessment.
- Experience in payroll processing including the use of a computerised payroll system (e.g. CHRIS 21).
- Understanding of successful training and coaching techniques for a large and complex transactional business, such as a call centre or payroll processing environment.
