We currently have an opportunity for an Associate to join our Finance department in the Private Wealth Business and Private Banking finance team. You will provide support to the Finance Partner and other team members to provide commercial financial analysis and recommendations to improve finance processes and business performance. You will perform monthly reporting to the business outlining the Business Bank financial performance drivers including understanding of variances to plan/expectations.

**Key responsibilities will include**:

- Prepare, analyse, and investigate financial reporting, including understanding of variances to plan to ensure accurate reporting and to facilitate insights for the drivers of variances
- Provide detailed financial analysis to enable the provision of commercial and financial advice, on initiatives to the Business.
- Assist to maintain strong balance sheet controls and demonstrate an understanding of balance sheet accounts, through the review of balance sheet reconciliations including ensuring aged balances are cleared and reconciliation breaks are understood and providing detailed analysis and information to support the FDC process.
- Support half year and year end reporting periods by acting as the key process support for external disclosures and subsidiary audits.
- Support change initiatives by assessing financial impacts including validating / restatement of numbers, mapping of ledger and insight and taking actions to reduce key data gaps as required
- Complete maintenance requests and support HFM changes as required
- Assist to run financial planning model(s) to ensure business inputs and group assumptions are reflected
- Maintain an understanding of group finance policy requirements and ensure compliance through identifying and addressing any areas of non compliance.

**What you will bring**:

- Focused on driving commercial insights as well as delivering results
- Able to synthesize information from multiple sources, build financial models, identify, and synthesise key themes and communicate and influence effectively
- Technically proficient in use of modelling and visualisation tools (e.g. Advanced Excel, Power point, PowerBI would be an advantage).
- Enjoys working collaboratively and building positive relationships with a broad range of stakeholders.
- Uncompromising drive, passion, focus, and energy to help innovate and drive change.
- Experience in Finance/ Financial Services
- Tertiary qualification required. CA/CPA qualified or a desire to complete would be an advantage.
