About the roles
Part-time Traineeship (min. of 15 hours per week up to max of 37 hours), pay rate is $19.44 per hour (base rate) + overtime and penalty rates.
Care Workers provide support to elderly people by assisting with daily activities and personal tasks. This often includes providing support with eating, showering, dressing, tidying, and cleaning and social support.
Eligibility
To be considered for one an ACA traineeship:
- Be an Australian or New Zealand citizen or a permanent Australian resident
- Have a current South Australia Driver's licence
- Hold the current mandatory vaccination requirement to work in Aged Care services (2 doses of Covid + booster and flu vaccination)
- Hold current or prepared to gain
- First Aid (CPR) Certificate
- Manual Handling Certificate
- National Police Clearance (willing to obtain) and NDIS Check (willing to obtain),
- ACA will reimburse the costs of gaining these clearances and certificates._
- You must also be willing to complete FREE on-line training_
- Covid-19 Infection Control Training Certificate
- Hand-hygiene
- NDIS Workers Orientation Module
