We are excited to announce the opening of our new Night Vision Goggle (NVG) Service Centre in Brendale, supporting our aviation operations. The NVG Technician will play a pivotal role in servicing and maintaining this heavily regulated and licensed NVG equipment, including assembly, disassembly, and repairs. This role offers the chance to use your Certificate IV in Aero skills - Avionics and grow your technical expertise in the aviation industry, particularly with opportunities to expand your skills to helicopter servicing and avionics in the future.

As part of the Toll Aviation team, you will provide essential technical and logístical support for NVG assets used by our aircraft operators and external partners. The NVG Technician will also collaborate with the Project Management Office (PMO) on technical investigations and reporting.

Key Responsibilities:
- Perform scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on NVGs, including fault diagnosis and repairs.- Manage NVG spare parts inventories and support logistics processes for repairs and stocktakes.- Liaise with internal and external customers regarding NVG maintenance schedules and statuses.- Operate and configure Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) for NVG servicing.- Ensure adherence to Toll’s Health, Safety, Security, Environment, and Quality (HSSEQ) policies.- Work within the Safety Management System and ensure compliance with regulations.- Support ad-hoc avionics maintenance for Toll Aviation's helicopters, fixed-wing, and uncrewed systems.- Maintain records and ensure export controls are adhered to when procuring and shipping NVG components.

Essential Qualifications & Skills:
- Must be an Australian Citizen NOT holding dual citizenship.- Possess Certificate IV in Aero skills - Avionics (required).- Strong understanding of aircraft/component maintenance and fault-finding for avionics systems.- Proficiency in using computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS).- Knowledge of supply chain processes, configuration control, and export control requirements.- Experience with Support and Test Equipment (S&TE) and technical writing.- Ability to work in a team and collaborate with various departments.

Desirable Experience:
- Human Factors (HF) training and Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) experience.- First Aid qualifications.- Project management or systems engineering experience.- Knowledge of rotary aviation or helicopter maintenance (a plus).
