All Saints’ College Maitland is seeking a Permanent Part-Time (25 hours per week) Canteen Officer to join the team in 2026. This role is to be worked 5 hours each day from Monday to Friday.
All Saints’ College, Maitland is a coeducational Catholic secondary school for Years 7-12, operating within the Maitland-Newcastle Diocese. With approximately 1,250 students and over 190 staff across two campuses, it is the largest school in the Diocese and one of the largest Catholic schools in New South Wales. Years 7-10 are located on the Junior Campus, while Years 11 and 12 are located on the nearby Senior Campus.

The Canteen Officer is responsible for maintaining the day-to-day operations of the school canteen including opening and closing the canteen and preparing and selling menu items as per the canteen menu. The position requires the ability to follow relevant food handling and money handling policies in addition to maintaining a cooperative working environment and provide a friendly, customer focused service to studentsand staff within the school community.
**Desired Skills and Experience**:
**EXPERIENCE/CRITERIA**
- Demonstrated understanding of current Work, Health and Safety requirements.
- Knowledge of preparation, proper storage and disposal of food.
- Knowledge of cleaning, and hand hygiene.
- Practical experience in the operation of a café or canteen.
- Demonstrated ability to work well in a team environment and the ability to achieve organisational and team values, goals and objectives and to behave professionally.
- Experience in handling cash.
**QUALIFICATIONS**
- Food Supervisor Certificate or undertaking to complete the course within 2 years of employment
- Current paid NSW Working with Children Check (WWCC) number.
**CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT**
Salary is in accordance with New South Wales & Australian Capital Territory Catholic Systemic Schools Enterprise Agreement 2023.
