**About the Role**

You will enter our Traineeship program whereby you will complete a Cert III Aged Care and be provided with on-the-job training and will be responsible for providing quality personal, social, and emotional care and support to residents in accordance with Arcare‘s Values. You will play a crucial role in a resident’s overall well-being.

**Your primary functions will be**:

- Gain a Cert III qualification: Two paid shifts per week for 18 weeks.
- Weekly training day with access to IT support and dedicated learning space
- On-the-floor support throughout your learning period with a trained allocated Buddy
- Personal Care: Assisting with activities such as showering, dressing, toileting, and grooming, maintaining the dignity and privacy of each resident.
- Mobility support: Helping residents with walking, using mobility aids, or transferring between different positions including from a bed to a wheelchair.
- Monitoring health: Observing and reporting any changes in the resident’s health or behavior.
- Meal Assist: Supporting residents with their dietary requirements ensuring they receive the food they need and assisting them in the process of eating.
- Maintaining records: Keeping accurate records of care provided, observations, and any changes in the resident's condition on eCase.
- Collaboration with healthcare professionals: Working in collaboration with nurses, doctors, and other healthcare professionals to ensure the best possible care for our residents.

**Skills & Experience**
- No previous experience in health care is required for this position.
- Applicants cannot hold a qualification
- Adaptable, passionate, and willing to learn.
- Collaborative and skilled at teamwork.
- Friendly and effective communication abilities.
