**Outside School hours Care Educator Assistant - Ashburton**
**$27 - $36 Per Hour + Generous Allowances**
**The Opportunity**
Extend has a very exciting opportunity for an amazing individual who has a love for children and education.
Extend children at St Michael's School in Ashburton are looking for someone to play, teach and take care of them in a safe learning environment at Before and After School Care. Are you our next Educator to join our inspiring teams?
**The Role**
As a hands-on, outgoing and passionate Educator, you will form strong relationships with the children, families, principal, school leaders and the wider community. This is an integral part of the Extend service.
Supported by a dedicated Service Coordinator, you will assist in delivering the daily program, exciting activities, playing with the children, taking children outside for outdoor experiences and assist in serving a healthy range of snacks.
As an essential member of the team, you will follow a schedule of activities as well as contribute your own ideas for exciting and engaging activities which are safe, fun, stimulating and carry educational value. You will also uphold the welfare and safety of children at all times.
**General Work Hours**:
- Monday to Friday
- Before School Care 7:00am - 9:00am
- After School Care 3:00pm - 6:00pm
- Holiday Program - up to 6 hours per day
**About You**
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Strong problem-solving skills
- Engaging and warm personality
- Thrives in a team environment
- Available to work at least 3 days per week
- Flexible working locations
**Pre-requisites (completed, willing to obtain or we can help you get qualified)**
- A Certificate III or higher in Children’s Services (or studying towards) or equivalent
- A current Employee Working with Children’s Check
- HLTAID003 or higher First Aid, Anaphylaxis & Asthma Management Training
