**About the Role**
Bendigo Community Toy Library is excited to launch a new program supporting families of children with developmental delay and disability. We’re seeking a passionate and organised **Project Officer / Toy Librarian** to coordinate weekly inclusive borrowing sessions and build local connections that promote inclusive play for all. This role has been made possible through grant funding available through to May 2026.

**Key Responsibilities**:

- Run a weekly borrowing session tailored for children with developmental delay or disability - ideally on a Tuesday.
- Provide optional **1:1 support** for families and collaborate with volunteers.
- Liaise with **therapists, educators, and support services** to encourage referrals and partnerships.
- Create accessible materials such as **social scripts**, **toy guides**, and **resource handouts**.
- Promote the program via social media, community networks, and toy library communications.
- Collect feedback and **report on program outcomes** to meet grant requirements.

**What We're Looking For**:

- Experience in **early childhood**, **disability support**, **education**, **community services**, or similar fields.
- Strong **communication**, **organisation**, and **relationship-building** skills.
- A passion for **inclusion, accessibility, and community support**.
- Ability to work **independently** within a small, volunteer-led organisation.
- ABN holder (you will manage your own tax/super as a contractor).
- **Working with Children Check** (or willingness to obtain).

**Job Type**: Contract
Contract length: 10 months

Pay: $52.00 per hour

Expected hours: 4 - 6 per week
