We are looking to expand our Disability Support Team by recruiting Disability Support Workers for an exciting, flexible, and rewarding role in the **Pakenham** area. Shifts of up to a total of 17 hours per week are available.
- Position Description:_
- _Support participant to develop and meet their independent living skills_
- _Support entails community access_
- _Support the client in their areas of personal growth and enhance their quality of life. This includes supporting specific recommendations from their occupational therapist_
- _Complete relevant documentation. This includes writing progress notes about your interaction with the client after every shift, which is then uploaded to the nominated portal designated by Better Care Options_
- _Establish, maintain, and respect the confidentiality of the client. This includes not sharing client information or images on social media, face-to-face or by any other means, and unconsented disclosure of sensitive or private client information to any other party._
- **What you will need**:_
- _Previous experience working in the disability sector is an advantage_
- _Experience supporting persons with ABIs is preferred_
- _Australian work permit/residency/citizenship_
- _Valid Working with Children Check _
- _Current Police Check _
- _Current First Aid and CPR Certificate _
- _Proof of Flu vaccination (or certificates)_
- _Valid Victorian Driver's license, a reliable vehicle and comprehensive car insurance_
- _A reliable mobile/smart phone_
- _Interest in/knowledge of woodwork will be an advantage_

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: From $38.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 17.00 per week
