Temporary Teacher

**Position Descriptor**:
Trinity Gardens School Steiner Stream is seeking an enthusiastic and creative Class One Teacher for 2026 who will be open to the possibility of taking the class through to Class 6. We are looking for someone who is prepared to work in a dual stream setting with a strong commitment to Steiner Education and all the creativity and commitment it entails. Someone capable of working with rhythms but flexible with change, who will model kindness and warmth and bring beauty to the lives of the students and their families.
Our school is located in the eastern suburbs of Adelaide. The school caters for 770 students of which 138 attend the Steiner stream classes. It is situated on a large block and includes a wonderful nature play area. The Steiner stream within the school is robust and has been operating for 19 years and includes classes from Reception to Class 6.
The position is a 1.0 FTE contract position, commencing in Term 1 2026.
Essential Criteria:

- Anthroposophical understanding of child development
- Willingness to work with colleagues from both Mainstream and Steiner stream within a DfE community.
- Ability to work with a cohort of students with diverse needs including
- A clear understanding of the professionalism required when speaking to families
- High level communication and relationships with families
- Commitment to ongoing professional learning and development
- RAN training and first aid
- Current Working with Children Check
- DfE approval - this will be supported if position approved
- SA teachers Registration - you will be assisted with this process
- Skills in craft and the creative arts
- They will need to have, or get, an Authority to Teach from the South Australian Department for Education
- An understanding of WHS protocols

ii. Explain a time where you have empowered your learners, giving them agency to shape a learning experience. What was the outcome?
iii. Describe a time where evaluation of your teaching has led to a change in your teaching practice?
