**Job Description**:
The **Corporate Strategy Consultant** is an integral part of BlueScope’s Corporate strategy and transformation team. You will lead the development of global strategic market analysis and planning projects, reporting to the Vice President, Corporate Strategy.

**The Opportunity**

You will work closely with regional business units, BlueScope corporate office and the Executive Leadership Team, to identify, assess and monitor key steel industry trends.

You will become the in-house steel industry market expert, covering competitor analysis, alternate supply chains, material pricing, market barriers and general market movements, with a view to help prepare critical board papers and strategic presentations in a concise but well thought out manner.

You will work closely and develop meaningful relationships with regional finance and market development teams. Utilising your flair for research, attention to detail and knowledge of data solutions, you’ll prepare succinct and sophisticated visual frameworks that help forecast market trends that are relevant to BlueScope’s strategic planning.

**What are we looking for?**

We’re expecting you to be an analytical thinker that is comfortable in communicating with a wide range of internal and external stakeholders. You will be seen as a proactive and reliable team player, with sound problem solving skills and creative thinking, that is able to craft a strategic story through visuals. We expect this role to help drive BlueScope’s strategic thinking forward.

You are a tertiary-qualified practitioner with hands on experience in global market analysis, financial reporting or economic modelling. Experience in an in-house corporate strategy or external consulting function (Senior Associate or Manager level), would be preferred. Experience operating in complex and sizable organisations, would be highly advantageous.

**Work Environment**

Location is Melbourne. Travelling domestically or globally may be required occasionally, within Covid-19 company guidelines.
