RCA provides specialised contract warehouse and distribution services to a range of industries across the globe including Consumer & Beverages, Specialty Retail, Auto and FMCG. We offer our customers an array of robust and flexible logistics and warehouse distribution solutions in the third-party logistics (3PL) market.

**Job Description**:
**As the Operations Manager
- Retail Transport, you will**:

- Meet priorities, budgets and plans to achieve overall unit strategy, goals and targets during shift
- Respond and promptly action any immediate threat to safety or the environment.
- Ensure preoperational checklists are completed for all loads and counsel/discipline in all instances of nonconformance
- Complete appropriate reports utilised in understanding and improving the weekly P&L
- Lead and assist the site in achieving required results across all business imperatives
- Ensure all allocations and dispatch operations are performed at the highest service levels, with the lowest costs
- Coach, mentor and performance manage the operations team to maximize team output
- Ensure that health and safety responsibilities of workers are effectively communicated
- Driving a strong safety culture throughout the site and have safety top of mind

**Qualifications**:
***To be successful in this role, you will need:

- Tertiary qualifications within business, or other relevant degree would be an advantage
- Demonstrated experience in leading a high performing transport operation
- Strong customer focus in logistics and pro-active customer service skills
- A sound knowledge of budgeting, financial reporting, costing and cost analysis, with the ability to understand a profit and loss statement
- Experience in driving operational performance and effective people leadership
- Strong customer engagement and relationship management skills, with the ability to influence and drive successful outcomes
- Understanding of the use of KPI’s in the management of the transport business
- Ability to promote and facilitate operational and cultural change at the contract/operations level
