Powder Coating Labourer

Interlink Global is partnering with P & J Powder Coatings who are on the hunt for an experienced Production Labourer/Powder Coater for an IMMEDIATE start.

With an established foothold and strong reputation in the Brisbane Powdercoating industry for the last 35 + years, P & J Powdercoating can offer the right person a position backed with longevity, stability and security.

Whilst working within an established team of skilled staff, you will be reporting to the Production Manager. The duties required of this position are, but are not limited to the below:

- Carry out abrasive blasting as specified
- Carry out chemical preparation work as specified
- Ensure all jobs are jigged correctly and safely
- Ensure all jobs are cleaned and prepared properly prior to the powder coating process
- Check for job quality and ensure all items are accounted for when jigging
- Filling out job cards
- Learn the skills required for Powdercoating
- Carry out maintenance when requested by Production Manager
- Keep work area clean and tidy and equipment maintained correctly at all times
- Current Forklift licence

In order to be able to complete the above you will need to have the following attributes:

- Min of 2 years’ experience as a Production Labourer in a Powder coating environment
- Be willing to demonstrate accountability and responsibility for work performed.
- Be responsible for your safety and the safety of others.
- Ability to work within a team environment but be willing to work autonomously if required.
- You must have own reliable transport as the location is not well service via public transport
- Must be able to provide a clear Drug and Alcohol pre employment test result and be willing to submit to random site testing

Pay: $26.00 - $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 38 per week

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Monday to Friday

Licence/Certification:

- Forklift Licence (preferred)
