**About the Centre/Service**
Annie Dennis Children’s Centre is a not-for-profit community based early childhood education and care service providing quality childcare and kindergarten located in the heart of Northcote. Annie Dennis Children’s Centre has an excellent reputation and was assessed in 2024 as ‘Exceeding the National Quality Standards’. The historic building is surrounded by large outdoor environments that provide ample space for all children to explore and engage within a natural environment. Our environments provide children with opportunities to develop through a play-based program with a mix of child-initiated, guided and adult-led learning activities based on the children’s emerging interests as well as those that are connected to our community and environment. We have a strong emphasis on supporting and developing relationships between the child, family, educators and the wider community. The staff team are passionate about education and care of children and seeks a like-minded diploma qualified educator to work in a high-quality program. We are a triple unit early childhood education and care service offering: - 3- and 4-year-old integrated kindergarten to our community, and - long day care for children aged from 6 months of age. The successful applicant will be well versed in the Victorian Early years Learning and Development Framework and National Quality Standards to implement a nurturing and innovative play-based program to inspire and educate our children.

**Description**
**Description** We are seeking a Diploma qualified educator to work collaboratively with a team of experienced long-term educators caring for and educating children. Key responsibilities of the position are to work with other educators to develop and implement a play based program, a creative and innovative indoor /outdoor program and to critically reflect on all areas of the curriculum. The successful applicant will:

**Qualifications**
- All applicants must have the following:
- Diploma Early Childhood Education (or equivalent as recognsied by ACECQA)
- Current First Aid (including CPR, Anaphylaxis, and Asthma management)
- Child Safe training (DEECD online module as a minimum)
- Proficient computer skills
- Be able to develop, plan and implement the program
- A strong understanding and the capacity to work with children with diverse range of abilities
- A sound understanding of play-based pedagogy
- Have excellent communication skills and work well as part of a team.
- Excellent literacy and numeracy skills

- Skills to document children’s learning and development using various styles of documentation
