Apprentice Butcher

Our client, a new Butchers shop in Mt Hawthorn, is seeking a passionate and enthusiastic Butchery Apprentice to join their team.

The shop is purpose-built with all modern and high-quality equipment. This Concept store will be focused on creating customer meal solutions for local families and foodies a like. To compliment the range of fresh meat there will be a collection of house made product (think sauces, daily salads and oven ready side dishes), cured and cooked cut cuts, semi and fully prepared meals, and DIY meal boxes with step by step instructions.

Fine Meats and Craft Butchery will be the corner stone of this business, and an extensive dry aging program will set the standard for all the small batch handmade products sold in store.

**Requirements**:

- Enthusiasm and Passion - for the trade and the role
- Attitude and Commitment - to completing the apprenticeship and take on the challenges of the role
- Curiosity and Drive - they aim to constantly innovate and believe some of the best ideas come from those with the least experience but most daring to participate

Ideally posses a certificate 2 or have some commercial food preparation experience.

**Hours**:
38 hours over 5 days per week

No late night shifts
