SDS Australia is seeking a highly motivated, hands-on, and experienced Container Refurbisher/Team Leader. If you have an experience in refurbishing shipping containers and building container homes, enjoy taking initiative and have a passion for educating and building up your team, then we want to talk to you As a Container Refurbisher, you will work on projects in the modification of shipping container-based structures, and have responsibility for the performance of the team, including quality and quantity of work.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Oversee day-to-day function of the factory
- Train and coach team members
- Assign tasks based on skill level
- Assures team is clocking into accurate projects
- Anticipate material and labour needs for upcoming projects
- Support and assist the team in completing projects on time
- Order supplies and maintains inventory
- Ensure materials needed for projects are in stock and verifies materials are used for correct projects.
- Erect or dismantle structures, builds, repairs and/or refinishes walls or structures
- Set up framing jig to correct size for walls
- Install doors, windows, framing, all insulation, paneling, PVC, cabinetry, and trim
- Install wood floors and vinyl flooring
- Install sheetrock, tape, and float
- Review shop drawings

**Skills & Abilities**
- Experience in the modification of shipping container-based structures is compulsory
- Good time management skills
- Able to delegate fairly and effectively
- Has good communication skills, and is able to listen and present ideas and tasks clearly
- Flexible and friendly, able to collaborate with, coach, and lead others
- Excellent troubleshooting ability
- Able to anticipate needs monthly for multiple jobs
- Able to successfully resolve conflicts
- Thorough understanding of shop drawings
- Understands other areas such as carpentry, plumbing, painting, and welding
- Good craftsman, able to perform quality finish work
- Has a good understanding of equipment used
- Must be safety conscious
- Has a learning mindset
- Able to work under pressure
- Driver Licence

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent

**Salary**: Up to $100,000.00 per year

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift
- Fixed shift

Supplemental pay types:

- Christmas bonus
- Overtime pay

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Nowra, NSW 2541: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

Licence/Certification:

- White Card (preferred)
