**The Opportunity**

Hitachi is actively seeking a go-getter to join our friendly team, looking for variety in the position of Workshop HD Fitter at our Forrestdale Branch. This opportunity will see you assemble, maintain and repair a wide range of mining and construction equipment to customer specifications and provide quality diagnostic and general maintenance service to efficiently and effectively support our Construction Equipment, Mining and Workshop Departments.
- You will also be responsible for:_
- The repair and maintenance of both new and used equipment
- Conduct basic failure analysis and identify specific modes of failure
- Preparation and testing pre-delivery inspections of new equipment
- Ensuring all work carried out is performed in a safe manner
- Completion and submission of all relevant paperwork and reports
- Maintain a clean and tidy working environment in line with the company's 5S standards
- Supporting Construction Equipment, Mining and Workshop Departments
- To be successful in this role:_
- You will have relevant Mobile Plant (or similar) trade qualifications
- Have previous experience with the assembly, overhaul, repair and servicing of mechanical and hydraulic components on construction and/or mining equipment.
- Heavy Rigid drivers licence and High Risk Work licences (forklift, dogging, working at heights, etc) would be highly regarded
- A safety focus with a good understanding of Workplace Health and Safety principles
- Good communication skills and a dedication to providing quality work for an OEM (Hitachi experience advantageous)
