Established in 1993, A&J Australia specialises in providing high quality packaging product. We are the major supplier of rigid and flexible packaging materials, packaging machines, disposable items, cleaning products, and toiletries.

We are looking for an experienced plastic machine operator.

Job tasks and responsibilities:

- Ensure SOPs are followed, report any errors to QC Manager, Production manager or Operations Manager.
- Ensure production sheet 2 is filled in correctly by process worker.
- Assist with OH&S, HACCP audits as required. (daily guarding check)
- Perform component inspections with SOP prior to use. (caps, masterbatch, Anti-glug, etc.)
- Assist in training new process work staff; how to read SOPs; and report result to QC.
- Ensure bottle weight is within specification and adjust as required.
- Ensure correct masterbatch is used as per SOP and to take to machine.
- Ensure masterbatch hopper has masterbatch, fill as required - clean any spills immediately. (Vacuum)
- Ensure masterbatch is put back into the store at the end of order.
- Ensure line cleared of bottles and paperwork at the end of order. (return paperwork to QC)
- Understand production schedule
- Report any quality issues to QC
- Be able to stop moulding machines in the correct and safe way in the case of emergency or machine jam ups.
- Assist to cover staff breaks when required.
- Ensure good housekeeping and report all hazards to QC manager or Operations Manager.(assist cleanup spills)
- Ensure all leak testers are working correctly and checks are completed hourly by process worker.
- Be able to make leak tester sample.

Key Competencies and Skills:
Proven experience in warehouse/factory environment
Excellent communication skills along with a high understanding of numeracy
Ability to work well within a small team
Attention to detail and familiarity with industrial equipment
Excellent physical condition and coordination

**Salary**: $24.48 per hour, plus superannuation

**Salary**: $24.00 - $25.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

Ability to commute/relocate:

- Laverton North, VIC 3026: Reliably commute or planning to relocate before starting work (required)

**Experience**:

- Machine operating: 1 year (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Driver Licence (preferred)

Work Authorisation:

- Australia (preferred)
