Operations Supervisor - Tomago NSW
Are you a hands-on leader with a passion for operational excellence and safety. Toll Group is seeking a dynamic Operations Supervisor to join our team in Tomago, NSW. This is your opportunity to play a key role in driving performance, ensuring compliance, and leading a high-performing team in a fast-paced logistics environment.
As the Operations Supervisor, you’ll be responsible for the day-to-day execution of transport operations, ensuring service standards and contractual KPIs are met. You’ll lead a team of drivers and schedulers, manage fleet and resource planning, and foster strong relationships with customers and subcontractors.
Key Responsibilities and duties
- Allocate people and assets to meet daily operational targets.- Lead and mentor a team of direct and indirect reports (up to 80 drivers).- Ensure compliance with safety, fatigue management, and regulatory requirements.- Manage fleet bookings, driver rosters, and vehicle maintenance coordination.- Conduct toolbox talks, CRM discussions, and promote a positive workplace culture.- Drive continuous improvement in safety and operational performance.
What You’ll Bring- Minimum 2 years’ experience in transport, logistics, or a related industry.- At least 1 year in a supervisory or leadership role.- Strong knowledge of NHVR guidelines, Dangerous Goods regulations, and fatigue management.- Excellent communication, planning, and problem-solving skills.- Proficiency in MTData, Microsoft Office, and scheduling tools.- Dangerous Goods handling experience and relevant licenses (including Driver’s License and Unsupervised Handling License).
