**About the role**

Wirtgen Australia is seeking a Field Service Technician to support our Maintenance Team located in South Guildford, Western Australia. This role is a full-time permanent position and reports to the WA/NT Service Manager. This role will be responsible to carry out quality and timely maintenance, servicing, repair, new machine builds and commissioning/training of all Wirtgen Group machinery within a Wirtgen workshop or customer site location.

**Key Responsibilities include**:

- Servicing, maintenance and repair of Wirtgen Group machinery as allocated by the regional Service Manager
- Preparation of new machine build requirements
- Commissioning/training of Wirtgen Group machinery
- Diagnose machine issues or customer complaints and assist in finding solutions
- Conduct machine inspections and develop a scope of repairs as required
- Liaise with the regional Service Manager to update on job progress and completion times
- Report any job issues or areas of concern to the regional Service Manager
- Only operate plant and mobile equipment within the limits of competence training and verification
- Complete accurate and timely administrative tasks in relation to service activities including but, not limited to submitting job sheets, timesheets and credit card statements
- Utilise and maintain workshop tooling in accordance with working specifications and conditions
- Maintain a safe working environment in both the workshop and field service vehicles with an acceptable level of housekeeping
- Ensure correct use and maintenance of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times and that Work Health & Safety (WHS) regulations are met
- Assist in the training of Apprentices and other staff as required.

**About you**
- Australian/New Zealand recognised trade qualification (Mechanical or Electrical);
- Proven experience within a Service Technician role for minimum 2 years;
- Unencumbered Drivers Licence;
- Basic computer skills with ability to operate Outlook and in-house service programmes;
- Must be able to communicate well with co-workers and customers;
- Must be able to work under pressure and to a deadline in some situations;
- Ability to maintain a high level of accuracy, including high attention to detail;
- Willing to learn and take direction.
