**The Opportunity**
**In return, you will be exposed to and supported with**:
- Undertaking mechanical maintenance activities as directed by a trade qualified Fitter to best ensure the long-term reliability of mechanical equipment and control systems.
- Stripping, assessing, repairing, assembling, and testing mechanical seals, couplings and associated equipment.
- Assisting with day-to-day mechanical equipment issues
- Assisting with troubleshooting and fault finding various mechanical equipment issues onsite to minimise machine downtime.
- Liaising and working closely with planning and stores personnel to ensure that parts and equipment are available when required to avoid delay and improve task execution.
- Preparing repair work quotations, associated documentation, and scheduling of jobs for repair.
- Working with production and finishing teams to improve communication and interaction between operators and maintenance / engineering personnel.

- A genuine desire to become a qualified trades person
- Have a strong mechanical aptitude and attention to detail
- Self-motivation with a positive work ethic
- Commitment to on and off the job training
- A willingness to learn and work within a team environment
- Strong commitment to EHS
- Strong troubleshooting and strong analytical skills
- SAP or similar CMMS experience desirable
- Exceptional problem-solving skills
- Driver licence and a reliable vehicle would be preferred
