**About the role**:

- Based at Officeworks' North Rocks DC
- Building a positive safety culture at our NSW distribution centre
- A Supply Chain safety champion keen to work with an amazing Australian Brand

As part of our growth trajectory, this key Supply Chain role is focused on building a positive safety culture for our North Rocks distribution centre servicing NSW and ACT. This integral role will drive safety control processes ensuring the effective implementation and monitoring of all Officeworks safety requirements and compliance lead by the National Safety Team. Key to this role is the training of our CFC team members and enhancing team safety awareness and behaviours across the site.

Supporting the NSW/ACT Safety Partner to contribute to and implement our national safety strategy and related projects, key aspects of this role include:

- Promote and drive the culture of Stay Safe
- Investigation and follow up of all incidents, hazards and injuries using the online reporting system
- Ensuring required pre-operational and operations inspections are conducted and actioned
- Provide advice, coaching and support to the Customer Fulfillment Centre operations team and participation in the Stay Safe meetings
- Co-ordinate and deliver onsite safety training and communication to ensure correct protocols
- Ensure that national Health & Safety policies are implemented and monitored and promote employee health and safety awareness.
- Support updates to SWP's and Process Compliance audits with Support Manager and Team Leaders
- Participate in internal and external audit program where required
- Assist the CFC Manager in managing WorkCover claims and return-to-work plans

**About you**:
A demonstrated and natural leader, you are an excellent communicator and problem solver who can engage with others and forge robust stakeholder rapport. Building strong relationships with key stakeholders and team members across the business to support the Supply Chain vision, you will drive CI through continuous enhancements in Safety processes, systems and infrastructure.

Key work experience:

- Leading WHS audits and injury/risk management within the retail, logistics or manufacturing industries in medium to large organisations
- Exposure to an OHS/HR role or similar
- HLTAID003 First Aid
- Documentation and maintenance of safety and standard work practices documents for a variety of audiences
- Engaging stakeholders to review and approval materials.
