**Cabinet Making - Production Assistant**

GBI Manufacturing is locally owned and operating in Wangara, Western Australia. We employ a team of more than 100 people across our entire business from 3PL, supply of MDF, particle board, laminates, and solid surfaces.

We are looking for a Cabinet Maker who wishes to move into manufacturing and work at our factory in Wangara, post forming tops, pressing laminates and veneers, and making custom benchtops. We are seeking a person that understands quality and is competent in all aspects of the trade, the person must possess attention to detail.

**Duties**
- Construct custom cabinet tops, making sure that all pieces fit the dimensions specified by the foreman and client
- Set up and operate woodworking machines, such as beams saw, hot presses, CNC and edge bander, and veneer sander
- Verify and double-check all calculations to ensure alignment of tops, door, hinges, and side panels, always using the specifications supplied
- Match materials and grains to create a uniform appearance when pressing veneers onto board
- Set out, cut out jobs on a beam saw
- Able to operate a CNC machine (training will be provided, however, experience using cabinet vision is an advantage)
- Read plans and work with precision to minimise reworks, so attention to detail is crucial.

**Requirements**:

- Cert II or III in Cabinet Making
- 3-5 years of experience in a cabinet-making business or a similar role as advertised
- Good understanding of health and safety requirements

**Salary**: $25.00 - $35.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Cabinet Making: 2 years (preferred)

Licence/Certification:

- Cert II or III in Cabinet Making (preferred)
