Expressions of interest are now open for Sutherland Shire members to join the Sydney South Planning Panel.
In New South Wales, regional planning panels provide independent, merit-based decision making on regionally significant development proposals. The appointment of members and operation of panels is in line with the Sydney District & Regional Planning Panels Operational Procedures. Skills and Experience
We are seeking qualified, skilled, and experienced experts who can assess regionally significant development proposals against relevant planning instruments and legislation. Sutherland Shire Council’s representatives must have knowledge of the Sutherland Shire area and planning issues. They must have the ability to act independently and demonstrate planning expertise.
***Selection Criteria:
- Senior level experience in dealing with multiple stakeholders
- High level communication skills
- Capability to drive outcomes for high profile projects in a credible and authoritative manner
- High level analytical skills
- Knowledge and assessment of complex development and planning matters
Enquiries
Salary
Members will be remunerated for attending panel meetings consistent with the remuneration for planning panels as approved by Council.
How to Apply
Consideration, assessment and appointment of applicants is at the sole discretion of Council.
