**We are looking for**
- A biostatistician or data analyst with extensive experience and good understanding of health data.
- Ability to undertake statistical analysis using a range of linked and unlinked data sources on clinical trajectories and unwarranted clinical variation.
- High level communication, interpersonal and consultation skills
**What you will be doing**
The Biostatistician will facilitate the development of the ‘Interventions, Medication, Procedures and Clinical Trajectories’ (IMPaCT) Project. The IMPaCT Project will provide information on unwarranted clinical variation in pathology testing, medication use, healthcare utilisation (including staffing levels and skill mix), critical care treatment, and short
- and long-term sequelae in response to the COVID-19 pandemic. The Biostatistician responsibilities span data governance and access, data architecture, linkage and analysis, and stakeholder engagement. The Biostatistician will establish working groups to explore options for accessing and linking health datasets for complex analyses in clinical trajectories and unwarranted clinical variation. The Biostatistician will undertake priority analyses on behalf of ACI.

**Selection criteria**
- Biostatistics postgraduate qualification or relevant extensive biostatistical experience and expertise.
- Extensive knowledge and experience in quantitative research with a range of complex data types including health related data and linked data collections and systems.
- Demonstrated project management experience in public health data or equivalent.
- High level written, verbal communication, interpersonal and consultation skills, both inter
- and intra-agency. This includes demonstrated experience in preparing written reports which present statistical analyses.
