**About the role**

Serco are now offering a Certificate II in Kitchen Operations to upskill experienced employees, which must be completed within 12 months of employment. This role is physically demanding, and you will be required to constantly lift and bend, push and pull stock. This is a casual position working across seven days including public holidays on a rotating roster, covering the hours of 6:00am - 8:00pm for meal service.

To be successful in this role you will have:

- The highest levels of personal integrity and ethical behaviour
- Basic Food Hygiene / Food Safety Handling Certificate - essential - SITXFSA001, SITXFSA101, or SITXOHS002A
- Certificate II in Kitchen Operations (SIT20312) or equivalent qualification
- Demonstrated experience with basic kitchen processes and food preparation
- Sound understanding of HACCP principles
- Ability to assist the Catering Manager and Chefs in preparation of the daily menu
- Ensure all tasks are performed in a timely manner and comply with internal policy and legislative requirements
- First Aid Certificate (desirable)
- Understanding of OHS legislation and management of hazards
- Current Australian Driving License (desirable)
