We have an ambitious sustainability strategy and are taking positive steps like utilising renewable energy, reducing the use of single - use plastics in our clinics, funding sustainable start -ups and reimagining the way we deliver more efficient, lower carbon healthcare through new apps, technology and other innovations.
Working alongside New Zealand and Hong Kong peers, the Sustainability Manager will:
- Conduct research and benchmark key sustainability trends, frameworks and macro trends and formulate responses which suit Bupa’s circumstance
- Lead environmental stewardship and climate action initiatives which support how we work with customers, improving our internal business practices and/or how we support community;
- Support development and delivery of an APAC Sustainability Action Plan;
- Support development and delivery of an APAC capability and enabler program to support Bupa’s workforce.
- Develop business cases and funding bids for projects which support sustainability and ESG strategies and targets
- Build sustainability into risk, reputation and advocacy regimes
- Identify, scope and support implementation of workplace environmental sustainability initiatives to reduce emissions, energy, waste, paper, water

**What do I need?**
- Tertiary qualifications or post tertiary study in a discipline related to sustainability
- Familiarity with the sustainability-related regulation and policy e.g. climate/nature/sustainability risk and disclosure, Modern Slavery Act
- Development and implementation of sustainability strategy and programs that deliver commercial and societal outcomes
- Analytical skills to source, interpret and translate environmental sustainability data points into feasibility concepts for a non-technical audience (e.g., to secure funding for organisational decarbonisation projects or propose green product concepts)
- Positive attitude and growth mindset
- Ability to quickly establish within a large and complex organisation to deliver outputs within defined timeframes
- International knowledge and experience of sustainability sector including related regulatory and reporting regimes, energy markets, certification bodies, desirable but not essential
