**About the role**

An opportunity exists for Environmental Service Workers (Cleaners-Kitchenhands-Laundry Attendants) to join our team in the delivery of services to our residents. You will be a hands-on individual looking for diversity in a role. You will be responsible for undertaking food handling and cleaning duties in a variety of areas including the main kitchen, kitchenettes, serveries, bedrooms, dining rooms and cleaning areas. This opportunity will require you to work day shifts (including weekends). Have a chat to us about what works for you

In this varied role your day-to-day responsibilities could include:

- Maintaining the cleanliness and hygiene of the facilities' residential areas;
- Dishwashing and cleaning of the kitchen, equipment & dining areas;
- Maintaining food hygiene and safety practices according to legislation.

We are currently looking for someone passionate about food handling and cleaning services, however, depending on the service's requirements, your day may also include laundry tasks like:

- Sorting, washing, drying, folding and distribution of linen and resident clothing.

Remuneration for this role is $22.94 - $24.00 per hour commensurate with experience. This is a great entry-level opportunity to kick-start your career in Aged Care with great professional development options.

**About you**

You are an enthusiastic reliable worker who enjoys being a team player and can also work autonomously. You will be passionate about kitchen and cleaning duties and committed to providing excellent customer service to our residents. Working in a fast-pace environment you will have compassion for the elderly and are passionate about maintaining an environment suitable to their needs.

Ideally you will have:

- Certificate II in Cleaning Operations and/or Certificate II in Kitchen Operations or similar is desirable but not essential;
- Experience working in the Aged Care industry is desirable;
- Experience working in commercial kitchens and operating equipment associated with cleaning and laundry is desirable;
- Physical capacity to carry out the duties required;
- Current National Police Certificate or the ability to acquire.
