Boilermaker Fabricator

Williames Pty Ltd are a privately-owned and operated manufacturing company located in Warragul, Gippsland. We have been designing and manufacturing horticultural and forestry machines for 44 years and have acquired a great deal of loyal customers through our passion for delivering quality products to the industry.

We are looking for a motivated, hardworking Boilermaker to join our team in installing, constructing, and maintaining steel horticultural machines.

Ultimately, you will assemble various parts to make sure that they work in various environments based on the needs of their customers.

**Main responsibilities include**:

- Undertaking basic fabrication of fittings and weld repairs
- Shape and fabricate parts based off drawings given to you by the mechanical engineer
- Always Working safely, using correct personal protective equipment, and following safety procedures
- Using knowledge and experience to suggest workplace or activity improvements
- Working towards reducing costs in daily jobs by not wasting resources at hand

**Required skills and experience**

Reporting to the Manufacturing Manager, the preferred applicant will have the following:

- Trade Certificate in Engineering Fabrication (Boilermaking/Welding)
- Must have a forklift licence
- Minimum 5 years’ experience as a Boilermaker.
- Experience working on production projects
- Ability to think on your feet, troubleshoot problems that arise
- Effective time management and strong communication skills.
- Ability to work in both team-based environments and independently
- Highly motivated with a strong work ethic
- Read and interpret technical drawings and designs
- Perform fabrication and assembly of components in workshop and site environments.
- Tig-welding would be highly regarded

**Job Types**: Full-time, Permanent, Subcontract

**Salary**: $35.00 - $39.00 per hour

Schedule:

- 8 hour shift

**Experience**:

- Welding: 5 years (preferred)
- Boilermaker: 1 year (required)
