Are you passionate about creativity, design, and hands-on learning? The Library MakerSpace is a dynamic hub where students explore everything from sewing and knitting to robotics, coding, and 3D printing.
As the Library MakerSpace Officer, you will support the daily operations of the space, assist students in developing new skills, and help design engaging workshops and activities.
In this role you will:
- Support students in using a range of MakerSpace equipment, from 3D printers and Cricut machines to têxtiles and electronics.
- Design and deliver workshops that foster creativity, skill development, and student wellbeing.
- Guide and mentor Student Peer Support Assistants working in the space.
- Develop processes, resources, and guides to enhance accessibility and usability of MakerSpace tools.
- This fixed term position is until the end of 2025, is full time, and will be located at the Callaghan Campus (Awabakal land)._
**How will you inspire us?**:
You will have:
- A background in creative industries, design, art, têxtiles, engineering, architecture, or a related field.
- A combination of creativity and technical ability, with familiarity using similar equipment.
- Strong communication and peer support skills to assist students in learning and problem-solving.
This role is perfect for someone with a creative or technical background who enjoys working in a collaborative and innovative environment.
**What we offer**:
The remuneration for this position is from $71,626 to $77,858 + 17% superannuation and is commensurate with skills and experience.
