The Role

Our Docklands office is the hub for our corporate functions within the Bega Cheese Group. Freshly renovated and looking brand new, you’ll enjoy lots of natural light and great facilities to take advantage of including a fully stocked fridge loaded with a range of Bega products We are right next door to Marvel stadium and some of Melbourne’s best restaurants, cafes and bars.

We have a permanent opportunity for a Materials Planner to join the team, this role is to support the Supply Chain in executing the production plan by replenishing materials to our factories, through close partnering with our suppliers and ensuring accountability. We’re seeking someone who brings energy to the team, who will be able to foster a culture of collaboration, respect and support.

If you have an eye for identifying opportunities for improvement and are passionate about sharing best practice ideas with your wider team members, this position would be a great opportunity to flex those creative problem-solving muscles

This position is a hybrid role working from our Docklands office and from home.

Responsibilities- Ensure successful execution of production plan via replenishment of ingredients and packaging materials- Manage inventory holdings based on a sound understanding of production requirements, contractual obligations, and available warehouse space- Manage the day-to-day relationship with our manufacturing sites and suppliers and be the first point of contact for material related issues- Identify opportunities for improvement and cost avoidance, and translate into action while creating team buy in Building strong partnerships with our suppliers and ensuring they meet our expectations to fulfill our commitments

About you- Tertiary qualification in Logistics, Supply Chain, or related discipline or experienced in a similar role- Knowledge and experience in the FMCG industry preferably short shelf-life products- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills, being able to facilitate change through continuous improvement activities- Experience in structured problem solving/project management methodologies viewed favourably- Ability to identify and deliver continuous improvement opportunities and bring others along the journey to best practice
