**About the role**
We are looking for a Research Assistant to join us for a part time (3 days) position, starting asap. Location is preferably East Coast of Australia in hybrid working environment with access to a vibrant CBD co-working space in Sydney and Melbourne.
The Research Assistant will provide research support to the DCA Project Manager and Project Lead (DCA’s Member Education Director) on a government-funded project addressing the systemic barriers restricting culturally and racially marginalised (CARM) women’s upward mobility into leadership roles in Australian organisations. This is an exciting opportunity for a Research Assistant to join the team working on this grant.

- Undertake background research to contribute to the activities of the government-funded project
- Provide research support on joint projects activities between DCA and project partners (e.g., conducting data collection, both qualitative and quantitative; data analysis; consultations with organisations and culturally and racially marginalised women, etc.)
- Contribute to writing grant materials and publications with the guidance of the DCA Project Manager and Project Lead, and collaboratively with the project team partners
- Provide support/contribute to dissemination of project findings (including presentations) as needed
- Research support for other emerging project matters and/or activities as needed
- Assist with stakeholder communications as needed or required by the DCA Project Manager and Project Lead

**About you**
- You have a passion for, or strong interest in diversity and inclusion.
- You have strong knowledge of the literature relating to CARM women in leadership
- You have experience in providing assistance in research projects, including conducting literature reviews, scoping activities, developing surveys and analysing both qualitative and quantitative data
- You have experience in both qualitative and quantitative research
- You bring a strong sense of initiative, collaboration, and a continuous learning mindset
Lived experiences of race-based discrimination are relevant to this role.
Previous experience working on a project exploring similar issues on the intersections of race and gender will be highly regarded
